EXPLORE · STEM EXPLORATION

Turn curiosity into action.

Explore new STEM fields through short lessons, safe experiments, and knowledge checks that make learning active.

FEATURED LESSON

Inside the Brain

Your brain is made of billions of specialized cells called neurons. Neurons communicate using electrical and chemical signals, forming networks that help you move, remember, feel, learn, and react.

Brain & Reaction Time Challenge

Reaction time is the delay between noticing a stimulus and responding to it. A simple ruler-drop experiment can show how sensory information, the brain, and muscles work together.

Try it: Hold a ruler vertically above a partner’s open hand. Drop it without warning and record where they catch it. Repeat several times and compare the results.
KNOWLEDGE CHECK
1. What is the main job of neurons?
2. A reaction-time experiment measures…
HOW EXPLORE WORKS

Learn, try, and check your understanding.

Short lessons

Clear explanations introduce fields and ideas students may not encounter in their regular classes.

Hands-on activities

Safe experiments and at-home challenges help students test concepts for themselves.

Knowledge checks

Quick questions reinforce the most important ideas and encourage active learning.
